Two of the fiercest forces in modern metal — Arch Enemy and Crypta — have officially announced a joint tour set to blaze across North America and Europe later this year. The tour, aptly named “Masters of Mayhem,” will bring together the blistering melodic death metal of Arch Enemy and the ferocious old-school death metal of Crypta for a powerhouse live experience that promises to shake stages worldwide.

The announcement was made jointly by both bands via social media and press releases, with an electrifying teaser video that featured fiery visuals, thunderous riffs, and a cryptic countdown that had fans speculating for days.

Arch Enemy frontwoman Alissa White-Gluz shared her excitement in a statement:

“This tour is going to be pure adrenaline. We’ve wanted to team up with Crypta for a while now, and the timing finally felt right. Expect a night of fire, fury, and female-led metal domination!”

Brazilian death metal outfit Crypta, led by bassist/vocalist Fernanda Lira, echoed the sentiment:

“To share the stage with a band like Arch Enemy is a massive honor. We’re ready to bring our energy to fans across the world — this will be one for the books.”

The “Masters of Mayhem” tour is slated to kick off in October 2025 in Los Angeles, with U.S. dates running through major cities including New York, Chicago, and Atlanta. The European leg will begin in January 2026, making stops in Germany, France, the UK, Sweden, and more. A full list of dates and venues is expected to be released later this month, with pre-sale tickets launching exclusively for fan clubs next week.

Both bands have been enjoying critical and commercial success in recent years. Arch Enemy’s 2022 album Deceivers was hailed as one of the best melodic death metal records of the decade, while Crypta’s latest release Shades of Sorrow showcased their evolution into one of the most exciting new forces in extreme metal.

This joint tour is especially notable as it features two bands fronted by powerhouse women in a genre historically dominated by men — a fact not lost on fans and media alike. Together, Arch Enemy and Crypta are not only bringing brutal, world-class metal to fans — they’re also reshaping the stage for future generations.

With stage production expected to be massive, and both bands promising special surprises and collaborations, the “Masters of Mayhem” Tour is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about metal events of the decade.
