Bruce Springsteen isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Even after decades of touring, recording, and storytelling, the rock icon has revealed that he still has five complete albums waiting in the wings. These unreleased projects are in addition to his upcoming box set, Tracks II: The Lost Albums, which drops on June 27th.

The box set spans recordings made from 1983 to 2018—albums that, despite being completed, were never released. All of them were recorded in Springsteen’s home studio, and over the years, he kept them close, sharing only with a few trusted friends. Now, he’s ready to let the world in on what’s been hidden.

Bruce Springsteen Finished Recording a New Solo Album

It’s not the first time Springsteen has opened the vault. In 1998, he released Tracks, a four-disc compilation of 66 unreleased songs. But what’s surprising is that even after that, and with Tracks II now surfacing, there’s still more music left—five albums’ worth.

Tracks III and Beyond

In a recent interview with The New York Times, Springsteen confirmed that Tracks III is already finished and represents what remains in his vault. “There was a lot of good music left,” he shared. “There are five full albums of music.” That statement not only underscores the depth of his archive but also hints at a long-term vision for future releases.

Bruce Springsteen to Release Box Set of Five Unheard Albums

Even after selling his entire back catalogue to Sony for a reported $550 million, Springsteen remains closely involved in how his music is used. He expressed satisfaction with the deal, noting Sony’s discretion and their habit of consulting him even when they technically don’t need to. It’s clear he’s still steering his legacy.

More importantly, he’s still creating. Springsteen insists that he’s at his best when he’s working. “I feel like I’ve got plenty of work left in me,” he said. “And our band does too. Our band’s in great shape, and we carry on.” The spirit that fueled Born to Run still burns strong.

Still on the Road, Still in Command

While fans wait for the hidden albums to eventually emerge, Springsteen is far from idle. He’s currently on tour across Europe, with upcoming stops in Frankfurt, San Sebastian, Gelsenkirchen, and Milan. His live shows continue to be a showcase of stamina, passion, and connection with fans.

The year also brings another major milestone: the release of his biopic, Deliver Me From Nowhere, set to hit theaters later this year. It’s expected to give fans a deeper look into the making of his landmark 1982 album Nebraska and the personal journey behind it.

With five albums in reserve, a new box set, a film, and a world tour, Springsteen’s creative output shows no signs of winding down. If anything, the “Boss” is only picking up speed—still writing his story, still shaping rock history.
