In a heartfelt new episode of her podcast, Bunnie XO gave fans an intimate update on her and husband Jelly Roll’s journey to parenthood. With vulnerability and excitement, she revealed that the couple is actively planning for a baby, sharing emotional details about the steps they’ve taken and the hope guiding their path forward. “We’re finally ready,” she said, her voice cracking with emotion. “And we want to bring this baby into a world full of love.”

Country star Jelly Roll and his wife, Bunnie XO, are in the process of growing their family. In early March, Bunnie first shared that she was undergoing IVF treatments. The social media star, who has been married to Jelly Roll (birth name Jason DeFord) for 9 years, has shared tidbits of information along the way, but has chosen to keep most of the details private.

One week ago (June 16), Bunnie posted a clip to social media that showed her emotional with her hands over her face. Overlayed text read, “When you got the call you’ve been waiting on for 5 months since this IVF journey started. All the tears, the hopelessness & the struggle, God finally said, ‘Here.’ 😭 ”

She didn’t elaborate on the milestone at the time. But in the latest episode of her Dumb Blonde podcast, Bunnie opened up to actress Roseanne Barr about her IVF journey and shared never-before-heard details.

“I haven’t said publicly, everybody knows that I’ve done it. They just don’t know when we’re going to have the baby,” she said, adding that they plan to keep the baby’s arrival a secret for “six months to a year without anybody invading.”

Bunnie told Roseanne that they have a surrogate because she is unable to carry a baby due to previous complications.

“I’ve had two ectopic pregnancies, so I just can’t risk it. I’m too high risk,” Bunnie shared. “We do have a beautiful surrogate who I absolutely adore, and she’s ready, so we’re hoping sometime this year, 2026, we might have a little bundle of joy.”

Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO said “I do” in 2016.

When the couple married, Bunnie became a stepmom to Jelly’s two children, daughter Bailee and son Noah. The new arrival will be the first child they share together.

In June 2024, Jelly Roll spilled the secret that he and Bunnie were hoping to have a baby. Bunnie addressed the news on her social media, saying they had planned to go through the IVF process secretly, but felt like they needed to share their story.

“Papabear dropped a surprise on this pod today,” she wrote on the clip of Jelly Roll’s announcement. “We had planned on doing this privately, but decided our IVF journey needed to be shared because we’ve always been so open.”

The decision to have a child sparked Jelly Roll’s wellness journey. He told Bussin’ With the Boys co-hosts Taylor Lewan and Will Compton that he wanted to get healthier so he could live long enough to see their child off to college.

Jelly Roll has lost more than 200 pounds in the last two years. He told fans that his goal is to lose another 100 pounds so he can go skydiving with his wife in Sweden.
