Wrestling Legend Hulk Hogan Dies at 71—But Leaves Behind a Powerful Legacy of Faith

The world of professional wrestling is mourning the loss of Hulk Hogan, who passed away at the age of 71. Known for his incredible career in WWE, his towering 6’7” frame, and his unforgettable charisma, Hogan—real name Terry Gene Bollea—was much more than a wrestling icon. In the final years of his life, Hogan opened up about a deeply personal journey: his renewed faith in Jesus Christ.

From Fame to Faith: Hogan’s Spiritual Transformation

While Hulk Hogan made headlines for his wrestling success, wild lifestyle, and business ventures—including his own beer brand—few knew the full extent of his Christian faith.

In 2023, Hogan shared publicly that he had accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at the age of 14, but admitted that his spiritual path was not always steady

“I accepted Christ as my Savior when I was 14, but I derailed.”

Years later, after experiencing personal and professional struggles, Hogan said he hit a breaking point and turned back to God.

“I mean, I just surrendered. I just said, ‘I can’t do it anymore.’ And I went back to the Bible, and I started reading again. And I’m either all the way in or all the way out with whatever I do. So if you’re with me, there’s no guesswork. If I’m with my Lord and Savior, I’m all the way in.”

Hulk Hogan Gets Baptized at 70

In a powerful moment that resonated with many fans, Hulk Hogan was baptized at the age of 70. In a video posted to Instagram, he and his wife Sky Daily were seen being baptized together at Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Florida.

“Total surrender and dedication to Jesus is the greatest day of my life. No worries, no hate, no judgment… only love!”

CBN Interview: “It Really Was a Major Pivot in My Life”

After his baptism, Hogan sat down with CBN News to discuss what the moment meant for him. The WWE legend described it as life-changing:

“Once I was baptized, I felt I was all anew. It really was a major pivot in my life.”

In one of his final public messages, Hogan offered powerful spiritual advice:

“It’s a spiritual war in this fallen world. Turn to the truth, seek Him, and you shall find. Step outside your comfort zone and accept Christ, knowing that He would heal the land, heal this nation, and heal the people. It just seems like such an easy choice for everyone if you’ll just surrender and accept Him as your Savior.”

A Legacy Beyond the Ring

Though the world may remember Hulk Hogan for his iconic matches and larger-than-life persona, those closest to him will remember a man who found peace, love, and redemption through his faith in God.
