Watch James Taylor's election day performance of 'America The Beautiful'

A Special Performance – Check It Out

James Taylor has shared his lovely live rendition of “America the Beautiful” from his home on the presidential election day. He also encouraged his followers on Twitter to vote by sharing the video and writing, “Inspiration for an important day.”

Taylor previously performed the same song at Barack Obama’s second inauguration in 2013. And more recently, he has been heavily supporting Joe Biden during his 2020 campaign trail. The legendary musician has sent out emails and asked for donations while posting on his social media. He’s been pretty active this year, releasing “American Standard” on February 28.

He wrote, “Joe Biden knows that, as President, he has to fight for every American, not just the ones who voted for him. He’ll work with scientific and medical experts to forge a fact-based plan to approach this virus, and then he’ll get to work building our country back better than it was before.”

Earlier this year, he revealed to The Guardian that he met Donald Trump “in an airport. I just thought of him as a frivolous, minor player. It drives me crazy how unworthy he is of our attention and how much of it he has.”

Check out his performance below.

Not for the music, but for the time it transported them to — back when dreams were loud and the world still felt young. This wasn’t just a cover. It was a moment carved into rock history.
