In a rare and emotional interview released this week, Ringo opened up about the weight of outliving his two closest friends\u2014John Lennon and George Harrison\u2014and the moments that still bring him to tears.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI miss them every day,\u201d he said, his voice breaking as he paused to collect himself. \u201cNot just as bandmates. As brothers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 83-year-old drummer, often the cheerful heartbeat of the group, admitted that time hasn\u2019t dulled the ache of losing them. \u201cWe were just kids, really,\u201d he reflected. \u201cWe laughed. We argued. We made history. And then one by one\u2026 they were gone.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ringo admitted he still struggles with the suddenness of Lennon\u2019s murder in 1980. \u201cWe didn\u2019t get to say goodbye,\u201d he said quietly. \u201cThat\u2019s the hardest part. One minute he\u2019s there, and the next\u2026 he\u2019s a headline. It was like the whole world stopped.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the years, Ringo has honored their memory through music, memories, and moments of reflection. He speaks to their families. He revisits old recordings. And sometimes, when he sits behind the drum kit, he swears he can still feel them there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
