Eminem and Mariah Carey\u2019s\u00a0famous feud\u00a0began two decades ago \u2014 and music producer Damion \u201cDamizza\u201d Young may have finally revealed the diss that started it all.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 50-year-old, who began working with Carey in 1988,\u00a0revealed on the \u201cTFU Podcast\u201d\u00a0last week that he is responsible for introducing the singer, 56, to the rapper, 52.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Young, Eminem was interested in casting Carey in \u201c8 Mile.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, he told Carey, who is only four years his senior, during a three-way phone call, \u201cI want you to play my mother.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Young recalled, \u201cShe did not like that s\u2013t at all. Her insecurities kicked in big time.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kim Basinger, who is 19 years older than the rapper, ultimately ended up playing Stephanie Smith, Eminem\u2019s character B-Rabbit\u2019s mom, in the 2002 movie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Young told listeners that he had warned Eminem against making the offer in the first place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDon\u2019t do this. I know where you\u2019re going with this,\u201d he remembered saying. \u201cI\u2019m managing this girl, and it\u2019s gonna cause me a problem.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Young, who knew Carey wanted to branch out into movies, had already cautioned her against doing \u201cGlitter\u201d and wasn\u2019t a fan of the \u201c8 Mile\u201d opportunity \u2014 but decided to let Eminem tell her about it anyway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIf I don\u2019t say something and then it comes another route in the business or something, then I\u2019m the bad guy,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reps for Eminem and Carey did not immediately respond to Page Six\u2019s requests for comment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eminem has long claimed that the Grammy winners\u2019 beef originated from a failed romantic relationship \u2014 which Carey has continuously denied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Young claimed in last week\u2019s podcast episode that Carey \u201cwas chasing\u201d Eminem and took a trip to Detroit. Young left while the artists were allegedly \u201cf\u2013king\u201d in Eminem\u2019s room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The radio executive went on to claim that while Carey was \u201con\u201d Eminem at the time, she was later \u201cnot doing well\u201d after Eminem \u201chad done this and that.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eminem blasted Carey in multiple diss tracks beginning in 2002, from \u201cSuperman\u201d to \u201cWhen the Music Stops\u201d in 2002.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carey claimed to Larry King that same year that she and Eminem only \u201chung out \u2026 a total of four times,\u201d which she did not \u201cconsider\u00a0dating somebody\u201d \u2014 and he subsequently referenced her in another song \u201cJimmy Crack Corn.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This led Carey to sing about Eminem \u2014 and portray him in the music video \u2014 in \u201cObsessed\u201d in 2009.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The feud died down for years, with Eminem even\u00a0insisting to Vibe\u00a0he was \u201cdone\u201d in a 2010 interview.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, he\u00a0called Carey a \u201cnut job\u201d\u00a0in his verse on Fat Joe\u2019s \u201cLord Above\u201d nine years later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
