He was a massive star then, and he still is now. I\u2019ll be reaching out to him personally, but I want to say publicly\u2014I love him and I can\u2019t thank him enough for what he did for me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Elton also made it clear that his own farewell tour would truly be his last. \u201cI\u2019m not Cher,\u201d he joked, referencing her string of comeback tours. \u201cThis is the end.\u201d The three-year global tour kicks off in the US this September, with UK dates set for 2019 and 2020. Tickets go on sale later this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPerforming live has always fueled me,\u201d Elton added. \u201cBut after this tour, it\u2019s time to close that chapter and focus on my family.
