Bon Jovi is back on the stage! On June 14, the band performed a full concert in Nashville, Tennessee, their first such event since 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Only a select few were present at the no-phones show, as it was part of a travel package that also included a hotel stay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those who traveled over the weekend got to take in the 17-song concert at Marathon Music Works. Per Ultimate Classic Rock<\/em>, Bon Jovi opened the show with their 2020 track \u201cBeautiful Drug,\u201d and closed the performance with 1988\u2019s \u201cI\u2019ll Be There For You.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In between, the band played tracks including \u201cYou Give Love a Bad Name,\u201d \u201cLivin\u2019 on a Prayer,\u201d and \u201cWanted Dead or Alive,\u201d the outlet reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The show also included a Q&A session with frontman Jon Bon Jovi and the rest of the band, per the outlet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As for the reason for the groups years-long break, that all has to do with its frontman\u2019s health. Back in 2022, Bon Jovi underwent medialization surgery after one of his vocal cords began to atrophy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Years of vocal therapy followed. It wasn\u2019t an easy road for the singer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPeople had to talk me off the ledge, because you\u2019re like, \u2018I didn\u2019t do anything wrong! What\u2019s wrong?\u2019\u201d he recalled questioning in a 2024 interview with AARP<\/em>. \u201cI could talk the day after the surgery. I just sounded like the Godfather.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt takes some retraining of the mind and the body and then the spirit, and you just have to be patient,\u201d he added. \u201cI did not excel in the patience category. I\u2019m not Superman. It\u2019s just a tattoo that I have on my arm.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shortly thereafter, the singer gave an update on his health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c[I\u2019m] more than capable of singing again,\u201d he told The Guardian<\/em>. \u201cThe bar is now: can I do two and a half hours a night, four nights a week? The answer is no.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThere\u2019s no miracle,\u201d Bon Jovi added. \u201cI just wish there was a f**king light switch.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, he assured fans that \u201cas long as I have the ability, I will write songs and make records.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
