{"id":17590,"date":"2025-08-31T03:11:40","date_gmt":"2025-08-30T19:11:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/artgardenhub.com\/?p=17590"},"modified":"2025-08-31T03:11:45","modified_gmt":"2025-08-30T19:11:45","slug":"jelly-roll-was-featured-on-eminems-song-save-me-from-myself-on-his-new-album-the-death-of-slim-shady","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/artgardenhub.com\/?p=17590","title":{"rendered":"Jelly Roll was featured on Eminem\u2019s song \u2018Save Me From Myself\u2019 on his new album \u2018The Death of Slim Shady\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thenews.com.pk\/assets\/uploads\/updates\/2024-07-14\/1209672_3381661_Jelly-Roll_updates.jpg\" alt=\"Jelly Roll called Eminem his \u2018childhood hero\u2019\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jelly Roll got to feature on his \u201cchildhood hero\u201d Eminem\u2019s new album,\u00a0<em>The Death of Slim Shady (Coupe De Gr\u00e2ce)<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the album\u2019s concluding track,\u00a0<em>Save Me From Myself<\/em>, the Rap God, 51, heavily sampled the country star\u2019s 2020 song,\u00a0<em>Save Me<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reacting to the collaboration, Jelly Roll, 39, took to his Instagram to reflect on what it meant to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI always say my childhood hero\u2019s lived somewhere between Willie Nelson and Eminem,\u201d Jelly Roll, Born Jason Bradley DeFord, began in the lengthy caption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Jelly-Roll-and-Eminem-bts-video-billboard-1548.jpg?w=942&h=623&crop=1\" alt=\"Jelly Roll Drops Behind-The-Scenes Video of First Meeting With Eminem\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAs a teenager (and still today), I could recite every song on the\u00a0<em>Slim Shady\u00a0<\/em>album, the\u00a0<em>Marshal Mathers<\/em>\u00a0album and the\u00a0<em>Eminem Show<\/em>,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Grammy winner further opened up about how Em was his guiding light throughout his childhood trials and tribulations, including being jailed for the first out of many times at the age of 14.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI related to every word Eminem wrote. I understand him and felt like he understood me, which was rare cause I spent most of my life being misunderstood,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Eminem - Somebody Save Me (feat.
