Is not a matter of less talent or more talent, it\u2019s just that certain people are capable of doing certain things better than somebody else.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI just feel that I\u2019m not equipped to do certain things that John Lennon did and I don\u2019t think that anybody should, because John Lennon was just unique and the one-off. That\u2019s the way it is, I just admire John Lennon very much and that\u2019s far as I want to go, I just want to think about myself and put myself across in the way I want to think and in terms of peace messages I\u2019m not it, so I don\u2019t wanna do it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"how-did-you-feel-when-you-first-knew-he-was-assassinated\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_did_you_feel_when_you_first_knew_he_was_assassinated\"><\/span>How did you feel when you first knew he was assassinated?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOh, I was shocked, I was just dumbfounded and what you do? I mea, it\u2019s just something that you think will always happen to somebody or you whatever and it just happened. It\u2019s one of those things \u2018What can you do?\u2019. I was shocked and disbelief, it was disbelief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In an interview with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.spin.com\/2019\/10\/archive-1975-john-lennon-interview\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Spin Magazine<\/a>\u00a0back in 1975, John Lennon said that his son Julian was a big fan of Queen:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHe likes Queen, though I haven\u2019t heard them yet. He turns me on to music. I call him and he says, \u201cHave you heard Queen?\u201d and I say \u201cNo, what is it?\u201d I\u2019ve heard of them. I\u2019ve seen the guy \u2026 the one who looks like Hitler playing a piano \u2026 Sparks? I\u2019ve seen Sparks on American TV.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSo I call him and say, \u201cHave you seen Sparks? Hitler on the piano?\u201d and he says, \u201cNo. They are alright. But have you seen Queen?\u201d and I say \u201cWhat\u2019s Queen?\u201d and then he tells me. His age group is hipper to music \u2026 at 11 I was aware of music, but not too much.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"freddie-mercury\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Freddie_Mercury\"><\/span>Freddie Mercury<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Born in 1946 in Zanzibar to Parsi-Indian parents, he attended English-style boarding schools in India from the age of eight and returned to Zanzibar after secondary school. After that, in 1964, his family fled the Zanzibar Revolution, moving to Middlesex, England. Having studied and written music for years, he formed Queen in 1970 with guitarist\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/rockandrollgarage.com\/brian-may-about-if-he-had-the-chance-to-say-goodbye-to-freddie-mercury\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Brian May<\/a>\u00a0and drummer\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/rockandrollgarage.com\/roger-taylor-says-he-saw-john-deacon-for-the-last-time-in-2004\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Roger Taylor<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Besides, Mercury wrote numerous hits for Queen, including \u201cKiller Queen\u201d, \u201cBohemian Rhapsody\u201d, \u201cSomebody to Love\u201d, \u201cWe Are the Champions\u201d, \u201cDon\u2019t Stop Me Now\u201d, and \u201cCrazy Little Thing Called Love\u201d. His charismatic stage performances often saw him interact with the audience, as displayed at the 1985 Live Aid concert. He also led a solo career and served as a producer and guest musician for other artists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mercury became famous for his powerful tone of voice and his energetic performances that always involved the audience.
