We were a real family at that point. We didn\u2019t let anybody in. We didn\u2019t want anybody to molest Freddie in what were to be his last moments, though we weren\u2019t sure if they were his last moments at that point, because you have this kind of disbelief.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cEven though the evidence is in front of your eyes, you don\u2019t believe he\u2019s going to go. But it was a wonderful time. We were more supportive of each other in those last few years than ever before.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Do you still talk to him?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Queen - The Miracle (Official Video Remastered)\" width=\"1200\" height=\"900\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/2DaY8-Mui0I?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHe\u2019s very much present. There are times when somebody asks you a question, and you don\u2019t really know what the answer is, and you think: \u201cWhat would Fred say?\u201d And you actually know what he would say. Even though he was fairly unpredictable, you knew how his brain worked.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"if-he-was-still-here-do-you-think-queen-would-still-exist\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"If_he_was_still_here_do_you_think_Queen_would_still_exist\"><\/span>If he was still here, do you think Queen would still exist?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOh, without a doubt. Even in the glory days we\u2019d wander off to the four corners of the earth, but we always came back to The Mothership. The Mothership would be alive and well, and we would all be coming back together to play, I\u2019m sure of it. And Freddie is still part of the show today.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You had Queen with Paul Rodgers, but it didn\u2019t work out the way people thought it would. Were you worried that it would be the same with Adam Lambert?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Queen + Adam Lambert - We Will Rock e We Are The Champions\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/wdEe68SR-uY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cPeople tell me all the time that after Queen we should have stopped and gone away and done something else. I think: \u201cNo, I don\u2019t think so. I was a part of building that, so I have a right to keep on.\u201d Should we play? Of course we should. It\u2019s in our blood.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYou get the question: \u201cHow can you have the audacity to give some of Freddie\u2019s lines to Adam Lambert to interpret?\u201d Well we can because we do, and we do because we can. And Adam interprets these songs, he doesn\u2019t imitate Freddie.
