After more than 60 years,\u00a0Paul McCartney\u00a0has finally revealed to the world his favourite member of The Beatles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

McCartney shared the secret on the latest episode of\u00a0Chicken Shop Date<\/em>, of all places, when he headed down to the Temple of Seitan in Camden with host Amelia Dimoldenberg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the conversation had many moments to remember, such as\u00a0McCartney reminiscing about setting fire to a condom\u00a0in Hamburg with Pete Best and explaining why you should never grow marijuana, him speaking about his late Beatles bandmates was the true highlight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When asked the big question about whether Ringo, George or John was his favourite Beatle, he solemnly shared, \u201cWell, there\u2019s only one left. Now, currently, it\u2019s Ringo.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, that wasn\u2019t always the case with McCartney casting his mind back, adding, \u201cDuring The Beatles, I think we all used to look up to John; he was like the leader, even though there wasn\u2019t officially a leader of the group. He was very witty, and he was great to have in the group.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On behalf of George and Ringo, he added, \u201cI think all of us might have said John was the leader of the group.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, earlier this week,\u00a0McCartney mourned the loss\u00a0of Lennon and Harrison, admitting to\u00a0The Guardian<\/em>\u00a0of their deaths, \u201cYou do miss them. I start to get very sad, and I have to think, Wow, wait a minute,\u00a0everyone misses them, it\u2019s not just me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also recently revealed in conversation with Paul Mescal, who is set to play him in Sam Mendes\u2019 biopics on The Beatles, that\u00a0he still speaks with Lennon\u00a0during the songwriting process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

McCartney confessed, \u201cOn this record, I might even refer to him in my mind, as if we\u2019re still writing together. I\u2019ll write something and go, \u2018What\u2019s that? Is that any good?\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being prompted further by Mescal about the influence of Lennon\u2019s voice in his head, McCartney joked: \u201cSometimes I\u2019ll get away with it, and sometimes he\u2019ll go, \u2018No, it\u2019s shit\u2019,\u201d before adding, \u201cBut his spirit\u2019s still in me, and I\u2019m glad of that. And George, too.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a four-star review of McCartney\u2019s new album,\u00a0Far Out<\/em>\u00a0observed, \u201cOn one hand,\u00a0The Boys of Dungeon Lane<\/em>\u00a0is a good but not great collection of songs, but on the other, also perhaps the best album ever recorded by an 83-year-old?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The review adds, \u201cI\u2019ve always imagined that McCartney must find it odd to be asked\u00a0every day<\/em>\u00a0about things he did 60 years ago, considering how much he\u2019s done since. But as it turns out, what he\u00a0really<\/em>\u00a0wants to talk about was stuff that he did\u00a070 years ago<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
