Tupac Shakur died after a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas during 1996 and investigative filmmaker Mike Dorsey has slated claims that the rapper is still alive<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Conspiracy theories that claim Tupac Shakur is still alive are \u2018lies\u2019 according to investigative filmmaker and producer Mike Dorsey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mike worked on critically acclaimed shows Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G and Murder Rap, and has urged Las Vegas police to \u2018lay the ghost of Tupac\u2019 to rest and end the 23-year speculation that he may be still alive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tupac\u2019s murder case still remains open but Dorsey believes it\u2019s time that the rapper had \u201cjustice\u201d and that the public got to \u201chear and accept the truth\u201d about his demise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dorsey has claimed that by closing the case, it would end any speculation that Tupac is still alive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has spent six years investigating the death of the rapper and has his own thoughts as to who shot the rapper and why.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dorsey claims that he has met with Las Vegas homicide detectives and passed on his findings but 18 months after doing so, there has still not been any movement on the case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said: \u201cTupac is dead. Let\u2019s get that straight. All the conspiracy theories are wrong and this ongoing conjecture can simply be ended by the Metro Police finally acknowledging all the evidence that is there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cContrary to popular belief, we know exactly who killed Tupac and so does the Metro Police.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dorsey has claimed that the police have refused to close the case, despite asking for this to happen on numerous occasions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The filmmaker continued: \u201cWe have exchanged about 100 emails about the case. He probably won\u2019t be happy with me going public, but it\u2019s been 18 months and the case is still unresolved, so I feel like I have no choice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis is bigger than any of us. Maybe I want justice for Tupac more than LVMPD does \u2013 I hope not. It shouldn\u2019t be that way.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added: \u201cLas Vegas Metro PD simply needs to announce that the case is closed. They can make an arrest or they can label it \u2018cleared\/other\u2019 meaning they know who\u2019s responsible but prosecution isn\u2019t possible.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dorsey produces and hosts the Dearly Depated podcast with Hollywood historian Scott Michaels and has worked alongside former LAPD homicide detective Greg Kading in investigating the death of Tupac.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
