He also encouraged his followers on Twitter to vote by sharing the video and writing, \u201cInspiration for an important day.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Taylor previously performed the same song at Barack Obama\u2019s second inauguration in 2013. And more recently, he has been heavily supporting Joe Biden during his 2020 campaign trail. The legendary musician has sent out emails and asked for donations while posting on his social media. He\u2019s been pretty active this year, releasing \u201cAmerican Standard\u201d on February 28.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/james-taylor-walz-harris-rally.jpg?w=1581&h=1054&crop=1\" alt=\"See James Taylor Perform at Harris-Walz Rally in North Carolina\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He wrote,<em>\u00a0\u201cJoe Biden knows that, as President, he has to fight for every American, not just the ones who voted for him. He\u2019ll work with scientific and medical experts to forge a fact-based plan to approach this virus, and then he\u2019ll get to work building our country back better than it was before.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Earlier this year, he revealed to\u00a0<em>The Guardian<\/em>\u00a0that he met Donald Trump<em>\u00a0\u201cin an airport. I just thought of him as a frivolous, minor player.
