\u201c2112\u201d isn\u2019t just any song \u2014 it\u2019s the full first side of RUSH\u2019s iconic 1976 album and a true test of skill for any drummer. The suite includes multiple sections like \u201cOverture,\u201d \u201cTemples of Syrinx,\u201d \u201cPresentation,\u201d and \u201cGrand Finale,\u201d originally performed by the late, great Neil Peart \u2014 widely regarded as one of the best drummers in rock history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nic had to tackle the entire suite (minus \u201cDiscovery,\u201d which has no drums), learning each part on the spot. The pressure? Very real. At one point, he jokingly shouted, \u201cWhy do you have to be so good, Neil?\u201d \u2014 a nod to just how tough Peart\u2019s drumming really is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
