Reflecting on the track later, Grohl said, \u201cThat was originally a riff for Ozzy\u2019s album. I think it\u2019s one of the best riffs I\u2019ve ever written.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The collaboration never happened, but the connection runs deeper than a single song. Sabbath inspired a way of thinking\u2014a refusal to play by the rules.
