On June 15, the singer, 31, shared nearly 20 posts, the tone of which ranged from menacing (\u201cI\u2019m a dad that\u2019s not to be f***ed with,\u201d he captioned his first image, a close-up of his face with a middle finger emoji) to celebratory (\u201cHappy daddy day to me u lil ho,\u201d he wrote alongside photos of him showing off a pricey frosted gold Audemars Piguet watch) to sweet (he included two pictures of wife Hailey holding their son, Jack, at a piano).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He also shared screenshots of a\u00a0text exchange\u00a0with a former friend in which he tells the person their \u201cshort-lived relationship\u201d is over, adding, \u201cIf you don\u2019t like my anger you don\u2019t like me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For months, Justin\u2019s\u00a0social media posts\u00a0have been undeniably chaotic and cryptic. Followers have been analyzing every image and word, searching for clues about his well-being and the state of his six-year marriage to\u00a0<strong>Hailey<\/strong>, 28.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While the couple, who\u00a0welcomed Jack\u00a0last August, appear to be maintaining a united front, sources tell\u00a0<em>Us Weekly<\/em>\u00a0their relationship is more complicated behind the scenes. \u201cThings aren\u2019t great right now,\u201d says one source, noting that Justin\u2019s erratic behavior is causing \u201ca lot of stress\u201d for Hailey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There\u2019s also an obvious shift in the power dynamic between the duo. When the pair rekindled\u00a0their romance\u00a0in 2018 (they\u2019d previously dated for a few months before splitting in 2016), she was a budding model, while Justin was one of the biggest pop stars in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He hasn\u2019t released an album since 2021\u2019s\u00a0<em>Justice<\/em>\u00a0and announced he\u2019d severed ties with his clothing brand, Drew House, in April. (His new line, Skylrk, has yet to be launched.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hailey, meanwhile, landed the cover of\u00a0<em>Vogue<\/em>\u2019s June issue and sold her beauty brand, Rhode, for\u00a0$1 billion. \u201cFamily issues have clouded her success,\u201d says the first source. Adds a second: \u201cJustin\u2019s going through a difficult time, and Hailey is giving him room to get himself back on track. He\u2019s doing his best, but it\u2019s tough.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Hailey-Bieber-Shares-Sweet-Valentine-Pics-with-Justin-Bieber.jpg?crop=265px%2C382px%2C648px%2C367px&resize=400%2C225&quality=86&strip=all\" alt=\"Hailey Bieber Shares Sweet Valentine Pics with Justin Bieber\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fans have expressed concern for Justin since late February when a video clip of him acting strangely during a Rhode event went viral. (A rep for Justin told\u00a0<em>TMZ<\/em>\u00a0at the time that speculation about drug use was \u201cexhausting and pitiful.\u201d)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a March 22 Instagram post, he mused about his \u201canger issues,\u201d adding, \u201cI hate myself sometimes when I feel myself start to become inauthentic.\u201d In video footage from Coachella on April 18, he appeared to be\u00a0smoking weed\u00a0next to his 15-year-old brother, Jaxon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And on June 13, he had a heated stand-off with paparazzi outside of Soho House in L.A., where he told photographers, \u201cYou don\u2019t get to disrespect me and get away with it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Justin-Bieber-and-Hailey-Bieber-2527-Us-Weekly-Cover-No-Chip.jpg?w=1000&quality=40&strip=all\" alt=\"Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber 2527 Us Weekly Cover No Chip\" class=\"wp-image-4021116\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">XNY\/Star Max\/GC Images<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Grammy winner has been open about his past\u00a0mental health\u00a0challenges. In a 2019 Vogue interview, he revealed he got \u201creally depressed\u201d during his 2016 Purpose Tour and\u00a0turned to drugs\u00a0like Xanax to cope. (In his 2020 docuseries,\u00a0<em>Justin Bieber: Sessions<\/em>, he said he\u2019d used MDMA and mushrooms.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cDrugs put a screen between me and what I was doing,\u201d he told\u00a0<em>Vogue<\/em>, adding, \u201cIt got pretty dark. I think there were times when my security was coming in late at night to check my pulse and see if I was still breathing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That same year, he posted an emotional essay on Instagram about the trappings of early fame and how it led to\u00a0suicidal thoughts, writing, \u201cSometimes it can even get to the point where you don\u2019t even want to live anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He appears to be struggling once again. On \u2028June 16, he shared an Instagram Story that read in part: \u201cPeople keep telling me to heal \u2026 don\u2019t you think if I could have fixed myself I would have already? I know I\u2019m broken.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first source says the star feels lost amid so much change in his life \u2014 he\u00a0parted ways\u00a0with his longtime manager,\u00a0<strong>Scooter Braun<\/strong>, in 2023, and\u00a0<em>The Hollywood Reporter<\/em>\u00a0claimed in April that he\u2019s estranged from his former friend (and best man at his wedding to Hailey) and\u00a0Drew House\u00a0partner\u00a0<strong>Ryan Good<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(In May, an insider told\u00a0<em>Us<\/em>\u00a0that \u201cno one is really managing Justin\u2019s day-to-day or career\u2026 He\u2019s really on his own.\u201d) Adds the first source: \u201cHis friend group has shifted, and [he\u2019s been] navigating fatherhood and trying to put out music. [It\u2019s all] been a lot for him.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Justin-Bieber-s-Concerning-Posts-in-Order.jpg?crop=14px%2C14px%2C1587px%2C896px&resize=400%2C225&quality=70&strip=all\" alt=\"Justin Bieber s Concerning Posts in Order\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His marriage to Hailey has not gone unscathed. \u201cJustin\u2019s been a hard person to deal with recently because of what he\u2019s going through,\u201d says the first source. \u201cHailey is the stable parent and the one keeping their family together. It\u2019s been really hard on her.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Justin-and-Hailey-Bieber-2527-Us-Weekly-Cover-2.jpg?w=1000&quality=86&strip=all\" alt=\"Justin and Hailey Bieber 2527 Us Weekly Cover 2\" class=\"wp-image-4021577\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Phillip Faraone\/VF25\/Getty Images for Vanity Fair<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The second source says there have been more \u201cups and downs\u201d than usual for the couple. \u201cThings have been very tense in the last month. Hailey\u2019s worried about Justin, especially with a [baby at home].<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He hasn\u2019t been down like this in quite some time, so there\u2019s concern.\u201d While Justin continues to lash out publicly, she\u2019s the one holding things down. The\u00a0online backlash\u00a0\u201cfrustrates her,\u201d says the second source. [But] she knows that\u2019s part of the industry and who she\u2019s married to.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to both sources, the couple is determined to make it through this rough patch. They\u00a0renewed their vows\u00a0last May in Hawaii, and in Hailey\u2019s\u00a0<em>Vogue<\/em>\u00a0cover story, she insisted she and Justin are going strong. \u201cThey don\u2019t talk about divorce,\u201d says the first source. The second source says the chances of them splitting \u201care very slim, especially because of their faith.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The couple are\u00a0members of Churchome, a Christian community led by pastor\u00a0<strong>Judah Smith<\/strong>, who is also Justin\u2019s spiritual advisor. \u201cFaith is a big part of their life,\u201d says the source. \u201cThey believe they are soulmates and meant for each other.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Every-Glimpse-Justin-and-Hailey-Bieber-Have-Shared-of-Their-Son-Jack-See-His-Baby-Album-.jpg?crop=0px%2C0px%2C1998px%2C1131px&resize=400%2C225&quality=40&strip=all\" alt=\"Every Glimpse Justin and Hailey Bieber Have Shared of Their Son Jack See His Baby Album\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Neither will give up without a fight. \u201cThey\u2019ll do anything to make it work,\u201d says the second source.
