At what would become his final encore with Black Sabbath, he sang not only to thousands of fans, but to decades of memories. Backstage, tears flowed and cheers echoed, as his daughter Kelly said yes to a surprise proposal. It was more than a concert \u2014 it was a curtain call for a king, witnessed by those who mattered most.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Black Sabbath frontman performed to thousands of fans at his final gig at Birmingham\u2018s Villa Park on July 5 as he reunited with his bandmates \u2013 Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, Bill Ward \u2013 one last time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ozzy was supported by rock legends, his wife Sharon and witnessed his daughter Kelly\u2019s engagement at the show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ozzy closed out his final ever live performance with some emotional words in his hometown, Birmingham \u2013 where Black Sabbath formed some 56 years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ozzy said: \u2018It\u2019s the last song ever. Your support has enabled us to live an amazing lifestyle, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A message on screen then read: \u2018Thank you for everything, you guys are f***ing amazing. Birmingham Forever,\u2019 before the sky lit up with fireworks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The band\u2019s final performance was overwhelming for frontman Ozzy, who repeatedly thanked fans for their ongoing support over his five decades in the music industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As the 42,000-strong crowd cheered him on, Ozzy admitted at one point: \u2018You have no idea how I feel.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The night was even more special as Ozzy\u2019s daughter Kelly got engaged after her now fianc\u00e9 Sid Wilson got down on one knee back stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sid, 48, who is the DJ for Slipknot, got down on one knee to propose to Kelly with an 18K yellow gold ring adorned with white and yellow diamonds, as well as citrine accents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Looking happier than ever, the couple, who share son Sidney, two, shared the sweet moment with their fans on social media as their closest friends and family watched on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The couple began dating in 2022 and welcomed their son Sidney in November 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ozzy died \u2018surrounded by love\u2019 at the age of 76, a statement from his family said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Osbourne family said in a statement: \u2018It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ozzy revealed earlier this year that he could no longer walk amid his years-long battle with Parkinson\u2019s disease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, he still managed to reunite with his bandmates Geezer Butler, Tony Iommi and Bill Ward for their final gig earlier this month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Amid his ailing health, Ozzy admitted he was unsure whether to perform standing up or sitting down following a series of spinal operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The singer was in strict training, which even sees his blood pressure being taken 15 times a day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He explained: \u2018I have got this trainer guy who helps people get back to normal. It\u2019s hard going, but he\u2019s convinced that he can pull it off for me. I\u2019m giving it everything I\u2019ve got.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2018It\u2019s endurance. The first thing that goes when you\u2019re laid up is your stamina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2018I am having my blood pressure taken 15 times a day.. I\u2019ve got this f***ing device on my finger. It\u2019s a monitor to say how my heart rate is.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ozzy vowed to do the \u2018best he can\u2019 during his final show after his string of health concerns in recent years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ozzy was born John Michael Osbourne in Birmingham in 1948, and dropped out of school at the age of 15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ozzy quit the band in 1978 and divorced his first wife Thelma Mayfair, who he had two children with, four years later, amid his ongoing substance abuse problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He went on to marry second wife Sharon Osbourne, who helped him transform into a successful solo artist and the couple had three children together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ozzy gained a whole new audience of fans with the family\u2019s reality TV show The Osbournes in 2001.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is survived by his wife Sharon and his five children, Jessica, Louis, Aimee, Kelly and Jack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
