<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\nPhil Collins and Mike Rutherford of Genesis recently reunited on stage for the first time in over a decade, delivering a special moment for fans. Watch the clip below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The last time the two shared a stage was during the 2007 Genesis reunion tour, which celebrated the band\u2019s 40th anniversary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During Collins\u2019 solo concert in Berlin on June 7, the audience was treated to an unexpected reunion when Rutherford joined him to perform \u201cFollow You Follow Me.\u201d The beloved 1978 single was the lead track from Genesis\u2019 ninth studio album, \u2018\u2026And Then There Were Three\u2026.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In fan-captured footage, Rutherford greets Collins with a warm hug before picking up an acoustic guitar. As the crowd erupts into cheers, Collins playfully introduces his former bandmate, saying, \u201cI think we\u2019ll have it one more time \u2013 Mr. Mike Rutherford!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fans were thrilled to see the two legends together again. \u201cThis is pure nostalgia. Genesis isn\u2019t done yet,\u201d one fan wrote. Another added, \u201cA huge and emotional moment.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier in the evening, Rutherford had performed with his band Mike + The Mechanics, who are currently supporting Collins on his solo tour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, across the music world, another legendary reunion was taking place. On March 24, Robert Plant joined Roger Daltrey on stage at the Royal Albert Hall in London to deliver a stirring rendition of The Who\u2019s \u201cBaba O\u2019Riley.\u201d Sharing the stage with Eddie Vedder, Glen Hansard, Kelly Jones, and Simon Townshend, the performance marked the grand finale of the Ovation concert series benefiting the Teenage Cancer Trust\u2014Daltrey\u2019s final time curating the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Before the performance, Plant paid a heartfelt tribute to Daltrey. \u201cThe purpose of this regime that you\u2019ve created is spectacular,\u201d he said. Reflecting on their early days, Plant recalled, \u201cI was 16 years old, watching this monster group. I saw you, this golden god, and thought, \u2018How do you do that?’\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He continued, \u201cWe\u2019ve crossed paths so many times through the years. I was at the first \u2018Tommy\u2019 performance at Fillmore East, and I ate all your sandwiches while you worked. I\u2019m just grateful to be here.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
