Lewis Capaldi and Ed Sheeran's hilarious 'feud' continues as Ed pens song for Ted Lasso finale - MyLondon

Lewis Capaldi has never been one to mince his words — and his latest outburst might just be one of his funniest yet. In a recent interview, the chart-topping singer launched into a brutally honest (and expletive-filled) rant about the £1.6 million Glasgow mansion he bought a few years ago… on the recommendation of none other than Ed Sheeran.

“It’s the bane of my existence,” Capaldi declared, hands in the air as if already exhausted by the thought of it. “The house is a fking sthole! A total money pit. I swear, it’s like living inside a DIY disaster show that never ends.”

According to the “Someone You Loved” star, what was supposed to be a luxurious Scottish retreat quickly turned into a never-ending chain of repairs, maintenance jobs, and unexpected bills. “The first week I moved in, the boiler packed in. Then the roof started leaking. Then I found out the garden floods every time it rains more than 10 minutes. I can’t win.”

But the funniest twist? He blames his celebrity pal Ed Sheeran for the whole ordeal. “Ed told me it was perfect for me — ‘It’s got charm, it’s got character,’ he said. What he failed to mention was that it’s also got damp, dodgy electrics, and probably a few ghosts.”

Sheeran, never one to dodge a laugh, quickly fired back when told about the comments. “I just thought it was a nice place! I didn’t realise he’d be phoning me every week like, ‘Mate, the kitchen’s collapsed.’ I feel like I’m being made the villain in his next album.”

The good-natured ribbing between the two friends has sparked a wave of memes online, with fans joking about turning the whole saga into a property-based comedy series — Lewis & Ed: Nightmare on Renovation Street.

Capaldi, however, insists he’s not genuinely angry — just traumatised by his mortgage. “I love Ed, I do. But if he ever recommends me another house, I’m moving into a Travelodge instead.”

Rumour has it the singer is now looking at selling the property… though knowing Capaldi, he might just keep it for the stand-up material alone.
