During a discussion with singer Karol G, the ladies spoke about their G.O.A.T. (Greatest Of All Time) rappers, resulting in Gomez opening up her favorites.

“One of mine was Eminem only because I grew up listening to him,” she said of the “Stan” rapper. “My dad was a DJ so he would remix all kinds of songs, and every time it was an Eminem song, I would just get so excited.”

“Can I tell you my first one that I had a crush on, Ice Cube?” she said. “I had the biggest crush on him when I was, like, 5.”

Gomez added, “It’s so weird, but I just thought he would protect me.”

“I’m only saying it simply based on my childhood,” she concluded.

With lines that cut between nostalgia and bitterness, Baez painted Dylan as both muse and source of pain, recalling phone calls, fleeting reunions, and the ache of love that could never quite settle. It’s at once a tribute and a reckoning, a reminder of how even the brightest love stories can leave behind shadows. For Baez, it was more than just a song — it was closure in melody, and for listeners, it remains one of the most raw and enduring portraits of love lost in music history.

The story behind the song “Diamonds and Rust” is as captivating as the melody itself—a tale of love,…
