In the midst of the ever-fascinating tale of Freddie Mercury, the iconic Queen leader, an unexpected claim emerges about a possible daughter of the singer. According to the new book Love, Freddie by Lesley-Ann Jones, a woman known as “B” claims to be the result of a passing relationship between Mercury and the wife of a close friend in 1976.
In the face of public demands and skeptics asking for concrete evidence, the author has emphasized that necessary verifications were performed, including a DNA test to confirm the biological link. Lesley-Ann Jones, responding to these claims via a message on X, asserted that “necessary verification was obtained” and stressed that the related legal proceedings are confidential and will not be disclosed publicly.

B, now 48 years old, claims she always knew Freddie was her real father. Raised by another family, she maintained a close relationship with Mercury until her death in 1991. In an emotional handwritten letter, he recounts how the singer was considerably present and loving in his life.
“Fred-die Mercury was and is my father. We had a very close and loving relationship since I was born and for the last 15 years of her life. “He adored me and dislived himself for me,” the letter “B” reads.
“The circumstances of my birth may seem, to most people, unusual and even scandalous. Shouldn’t surprise us. But he never lost value to his commitment to love and care for me. He loved me like a treasure.”
The author of the book admits that she initially doubted these claims. However, after working with B for more than three years, she is convinced of the authenticity of her story. Jones emphasizes that B neither seeks fame nor financial gain, thus differentiating himself from the typical characteristics of sensationalist stories. She insists that, both Freddie and B’s stepfather, left her economically insured through a private agreement not listed in Mercury’s official will.
Speculation about Mercury’s personal diaries, which were allegedly delivered to B before his death, has also been criticized. Some claimed they could have been falsified using artificial intelligence. Jones has denied these accusations, stating that the story told through these documents is genuine and moving.
