Barbra Streisand And Paul McCartney's Duet, My Valentine, Is The New Love Anthem - News18

Barbra Streisand hooks up with Paul McCartney for a stunning collaboration.

Back in 2014, Barbra Streisand released the Partners album packed with absolutely massive duets, including Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie, Billy Joel, Elvis Presley and many more.

And it seems that the follow-up The Secret of Life: Partners, Volume Two, will be every bit as starry, with its lead single featuring Beatles legend Paul McCartney.

Sir Paul and Babs have joined forces for a new version of ‘My Valentine’.

Unlike many modern pop collaborations, the two icons actually got together in the studio to record together, rather than just swapping emails.

“What a joy it was to record ‘My Valentine’ with @paulmccartney,” said Barbra.https://www.instagram.com/p/DJpYfIPTglr/embed/captioned/?cr=1&v=14&wp=540&rd=https%3A%2F%2Famericanenigmas.com&rp=%2Fvubtvlita%2Fsome-moments-dont-just-pass-they-mark-you-paul-mccartney-and-barbra-streisand-reimagine-my-valentine-in-a-studio-duet-that-blends-legend-emotio%2F%3Ffbclid%3DIwY2xjawMa4UBleHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETE#%7B%22ci%22%3A0%2C%22os%22%3A8038.300000000745%2C%22ls%22%3A1256%2C%22le%22%3A8032.4000000003725%7D

“To share time with him in the studio was truly special!”

‘My Valentine’ was written by McCartney and first released on his 2012 album Kisses on the Bottom.

Alongside closer ‘Only Our Hearts’, it was one of only two new songs on the album, with the rest of the record dominated by covers of jazz and trad pop songs.

‘My Valentine’ was written for Sir Paul’s wife Nancy Shevell, and features long-time associate Eric Clapton on guitar.

Sir Paul directed his own music video for the song, which starred A-listers Johnny Depp and Natalie Portman.

The Secret Of Life: Partners, Volume 2 is released on June 27 and is available to pre-order now.
