Things are moving fast for Miranda Lambert and her new boyfriend Evan Felker — and now we know why. The Turnpike Troubadours frontman is trying to fast-track his divorce to end his 17-month long marriage to estranged wife Staci Nelson ASAP in hopes of starting a family with Miranda.

Miranda Lambert's boyfriend Evan Felker finalizes divorce

“While it’s only early days in her relationship with Evan, Miranda would love to have a baby with him,” a friend told Life & Style exclusively. “Miranda would like him to be divorced first, but the truth is she doesn’t really care that it’s not official yet. She’s really happy with Evan and sees herself building a life and a family with him.” Miranda and Evan, both 34, made headlines when their relationship went public last month, seeing as Evan apparently blindsided his wife with a divorce to date the country superstar.

Blake Shelton took to social media after the news broke to shade his ex-wife for her seemingly homewrecking ways. “Been taking the high road for a long time.. I almost gave up. But I can finally see something on the horizon up there!! Wait!! Could it be?! Yep!! It’s karma,” he tweeted. Staci also publicly opened up about her split, sharing a teary-eyed selfie on Instagram, which she captioned, “PSA: If Staci Felker can make it through this week, so can you.”

And Evan and Staci’s divorce is getting messy. On Feb. 28, Staci contested Evan’s filing that the couple was separated before he started dating Miranda and claimed she was abandoned and asked him to pay alimony and her attorney fees. However, none of that noise is stopping Miranda from making her motherhood dreams a reality.

“If Evan’s divorce ends up being drawn out and she were to get pregnant, she could give birth before it’s finalized and actually have a baby with a married man,” the source added. “Miranda is longing for a family of her own.”
