Bunnie Xo Shares Why She Hasn’t Been Seen Publicly with Jelly Roll amid IVF Journey

The couple shared last June that they were beginning the IVF process

Bunnie Xo is getting candid about how tough the in vitro fertilization (IVF) process can be.

On an episode of her podcast Dumb Blonde, Bunnie, whose real name is Alyssa DeFord, addressed the fact that she hasn’t been seen publicly with her musician husband Jelly Roll, 40. The podcast host explained that her IVF journey has been tough and added that she feels lucky she’s able to do a lot of her work from home.

“Somebody said the other day, they’re like, ‘They used to always be together. Now you never see them together,’” Bunnie began, referencing herself and her husband. “I’m like, do you guys not know for the past six months I’ve been trying to make a baby? Like, my husband has to work to f—— bring home the bacon.”

“Luckily, I have the luxury of being able to work at from home. So he doesn’t. Bunnie is already stepmom to her Jelly’s two kids — daughter Bailee Ann, 16, and son Noah Buddy, 7.

This past June, Bunnie shared that she’d had a “huge win” after getting a phone call related to her IVF journey. She began to get emotional as she received the call in the short clip.

“When you just got the call you’ve been waiting on for 5 months since this ivf journey started,” she wrote. “All the tears, the hopelessness & the struggle, God finally said, ‘Here.’ In the comments of her post, Bunnie clarified that she isn’t pregnant yet, but has taken a step forward in her journey. “This is not a pregnancy announcement – we won’t announce that,” she said. “This is just a huge win for us

In March, Bunnie posted a TikTok video and shared an update on her and Jelly’s road to parenthood. The stepmom of two shared at the time that she was actively undergoing IVF treatments.

“I’m literally going through IVF treatments right now — the hormones, the shots, all that,” she said. “I’m going through all of the emotions, the rollercoaster, [and] the worry, just so that I can have a little piece of my husband and me — just a little piece wrapped in skin— to just add to the other two beautiful children that we have together.”

The couple has been very open in the past about her fertility journey, sharing last June that they were beginning the IVF process. Jelly Roll appeared on the Bussin’ with the Boys podcast and revealed he decided to lose over 60 pounds so he could live longer to see kids grow, and keep up with any new additions.

“My wife and I are talking about having a baby, and it really made me realize that at almost 40, I was like, it means I got to live to at least 60. I got to see this kid into college,” the “Save Me” singer said.
