The donation, made through her wellness and skincare company Muse Wellness Group, has already transformed the lives of more than 200 children suffering from serious and chronic illnesses, while also enabling 1,000 homeless families to bring their children in for free health screenings, checkups, and emergency examinations.
Hospital administrators and community organizers have called the contribution “a miracle in real time,” citing the immense strain many healthcare facilities face in trying to provide quality pediatric care for families who are uninsured, underprivileged, or displaced.
“Because of Ms. Alford’s incredible donation, we’ve been able to fund life-saving treatments that would’ve otherwise been delayed or denied due to financial constraints,” said Dr. Marissa Goines, pediatric oncology director at Michigan Children’s Health Detroit. “She didn’t just give money—she gave time, she gave her voice, and most of all, she gave hope.”
