YouTube Music rolled out a new way to measure artists’ reach, and Eminem is right at the top from day one.

The platform’s freshly launched “monthly audience” metric estimates the number of unique users who have viewed or listened to an artist’s content over the past 30 days. Unlike chart rankings that track song performance, this number reflects total interest across videos, audio, and artist channels, and there’s no movement yet, just a snapshot. The first snapshot placed Eminem in a tie with Doechii at a massive 332 million, the biggest number among rap artists.

Dr. Dre was ranked at No.3 with 271 million, closely followed by Kendrick Lamar (262 million)

However, in just three days, the situation has changed. Eminem confidently surged forward, reaching 336 million monthly audience, while Doechii lost some ground and now sits at No.2 with 319 million.

Nothing has changed much for the the rest of Top 5 rappers on YouTube Music:

1. Eminem — 336 million
2. Doechii — 319 million
3. Dr. Dre — 271 million
4. Kendrick Lamar — 262 million
5. Coolio — 256 million

This is another sign of how broad Em’s audience remains across platforms. He also continues to lead all rappers on Spotify with 102 million followers, placing him 7th overall among artists in all genres.

For a metric that is all about how many people are watching and listening, not just streaming singles, Slim Shady starts strong, right at the top
