Eminem Wears a Fake Butt and Wrestles a Gator in Happy Gilmore 2 — And It Might Be the Most Deranged Celebrity Cameo Ever Caught on Camera

Move over Slim Shady. There’s a new chaotic legend in town—and he’s brawling alligators in the swamps of Florida.

In what might go down as the most unhinged celebrity cameo of the decade, Eminem has shocked audiences worldwide with his jaw-dropping appearance in Happy Gilmore 2. And we don’t mean “shocked” in a “surprise, it’s Marshall Mathers!” kind of way. We mean: fake butt cheeks. Wrestling reptiles. Banana peels. A full Shakespearean monologue delivered while soaked in gator blood.

Yes, really.

“Is That… Eminem?”

It starts innocently enough. About halfway through the film, Adam Sandler’s Happy Gilmore finds himself deep in the Florida Everglades, searching for an eccentric golf trainer rumored to be living off-grid. What he finds instead is Eminem — or rather, a completely unrecognizable version of him.

Gone is the hoodie-clad rap god. In his place: a wide-eyed, Southern-accented lunatic wearing Daisy Dukes, a trucker hat, and a disturbingly realistic prosthetic backside that jiggles with every step. Within seconds, he’s suplexing a live alligator into a kiddie pool.

The internet? Lost. Its. Mind.

“This is not a cameo,” one user posted on X (formerly Twitter). “This is a full-on descent into madness, and I want ten more minutes of it.”

“I thought the rumors were fake,” another fan wrote. “But nope. It’s Eminem. In a fake butt. Riding an inflatable flamingo while screaming at ducks. Cinema is alive again.”

Eminem Goes Full Method—And Full Maniac

What makes the cameo land isn’t just the absurdity—it’s the commitment. Eminem leans into it. He doesn’t play “a version” of himself. He plays a completely bonkers swamp dweller named Cletus, who believes golf was invented by aliens and that putting greens are government surveillance devices.

He monologues. He sword fights. He teaches Gilmore a secret swing involving a slingshot and moonshine. At one point, he dances to his own 2002 hit “Without Me” while doing squats in slow motion.

According to insiders on set, the scene was not in the original script. Sandler reportedly asked Eminem to do a five-minute cameo. The rapper came back with twenty minutes of improvised madness, a custom wardrobe, and his own animatronic gator puppet named Brenda.

“I Wanted to Do Something Stupid and Beautiful”

In a rare behind-the-scenes interview, Eminem explained his thought process:

“I’ve done the intense roles. I’ve done the dark, brooding stuff. This time? I just wanted to do something stupid… something beautifully stupid. And when Sandler called, I knew this was it.”

He adds:

“If people laugh, that’s great. If they’re disturbed and confused? Even better.”

Mission accomplished.

A Cameo That Will Be Studied for Years

While Happy Gilmore 2 has plenty of A-list cameos (including Chris Rock, Jennifer Aniston, and even a bizarre CGI version of Bob Barker), it’s Eminem who walks away with the crown. His scene has already racked up over 40 million views on TikTok, sparked hundreds of memes, and inspired fan theories ranging from “it’s a metaphor for aging rappers” to “he’s launching a secret comedy album.”

Regardless of deeper meaning, one thing is clear: Eminem just delivered one of the boldest, weirdest, and most unforgettable moments in recent comedy history.

And honestly? We kind of want more.
