Stevie Nicks Forced to Halt Upcoming Shows Due to Injury

Stevie Nicks could offer a masterclass in making music to stand the test of time. Initially finding little success as one-half of Buckingham Nicks, she joined Fleetwood Mac in 1975 alongside then-boyfriend Lindsey Buckingham. Defying genre, the band would become one of the best-selling musical acts of all time with Nicks at the helm. After Fleetwood Mac’s eventual collapse due to intense interpersonal conflict, the “Rhiannon” songstress continued that success with her solo career. Now 77, Nicks is still bringing her ethereal stage presence and rich, haunting vocals to music venues across the country. Unfortunately, the eight-time Grammy nominee must now stay off the road for two months as she recovers from a recent injury.

In an Aug. 1 release posted to Nicks’ social media accounts, LiveNation announced that the “Stand Back” singer “will require recovery time” after fracturing her shoulder. Incidentally, she must postpone nine upcoming concerts scheduled for August and September.

Nicks’ recovery will affect shows in Detroit; Saint Paul, Minnesota; Toronto; Brooklyn, New York; Boston; Cincinnati; Columbia, South Carolina; Tampa, Florida; and Hollywood, Florida. At this time, she will return to the stage Oct. 1 at Moda Center in Portland, Oregon. “Please note that October dates will be unaffected,” the statement read.

LiveNation advises fans to hold onto their tickets, as they will be honored on the new date. “Stevie looks forward to seeing everyone soon and apologizes to the fans for this inconvenience,” the statement concluded.

“Wrap Her in Bubble Wrap”

Perhaps still reeling from the July 22 loss of heavy metal legend Ozzy Osbourne, many social media users were apparently expecting much darker news. “Damn near had a heart attack. Someone wrap her in bubble wrap and put her in a salt circle!” one user commented on Stevie Nicks’ Instagram post.

Another added, “Whoever is running this Instagram, DON’T SCARE ME LIKE THAT AGAIN PLEASE. Love you Stevie.”

Fleetwood Mac News: Singer, songwriter, superstar Stevie Nicks is getting a little restless these days.

The rescheduled tour dates follow the news that Nicks and her former flame will re-issue their 1973 album Buckingham Nicks on Sept. 19. Although a commercial flop, the duo’s only album caught the attention of Mick Fleetwood, who subsequently invited them to join his band. You may have heard of it: Fleetwood Mac.

Diogo used to laugh, “If I ever go, play Stairway.” No one ever imagined they’d have to. But when the unthinkable happened, they honored his wish—quietly, heartbreakingly. No press. No spectacle. Just Robert Plant and Jimmy Page, reunited after nearly two decades, not for glory—but for him. Diogo, the Liverpool star taken at 28, was remembered not with speeches, but with song. As the first chords rang out, the room froze. Tears flowed. Teammates embraced. Up front, Rute clutched their baby, trembling. And when the final note hung in the air, Plant whispered, “This one’s for your stairway, Diogo.” In that moment, even silence wept. A tribute not to fame—but to love, loss, and the kind of brotherhood words can’t reach.
