Sean “Diddy” Combs, the famous businessman and music producer, is now facing two charges in New York State Court under the Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act. In the first lawsuit, the plaintiff alleges that in 2005, when he was 10 years old, he was lured to a New York hotel for a casting call by a member of Combs’s crew — or Combs himself — and then drugged and forced to engage in nonconsensual sx acts. The lawsuit says the substance used may have been GHB or a drug-laced drink, and that the victim was threatened to keep him from telling his parents. In the second lawsuit, a 17-year-old boy says he was sexually assaulted around 2008 while auditioning for the reality show “Making the Band.” Combs and a bodyguard allegedly used physical force and intimidation to force the victim to perform sexual acts, and threatened to remove him from the show if he refused to cooperate. Both cases are currently being heard as civil cases, and no separate criminal charges have been filed in connection with either case. However, the new lawsuits come as Sean Combs is facing a major federal criminal case that includes charges of sx trafficking, hosting parties involving s*xual coercion and rape, physical and psychological assault, and multiple violations of federal law spanning several years.

Combs’ attorney has denied all of the allegations, calling the new lawsuits “fabrications designed to gain attention and make a profit.” However, the serious nature of the allegations, especially involving a minor, is causing the case to be closely monitored by authorities, while many victims’ rights organizations have expressed deep concern and called for a full investigation. As of now, Mr. Sean Combs is still in custody in a separate case involving federal criminal charges. The emergence of additional serious civil lawsuits could have a significant impact on the trial process and legal possibilities in related cases.

And in the front row, Kelly Clarkson completely broke—her hand covering her mouth, shoulders trembling, tears cascading as she mouthed along with the words her daughter sang.
