After reuniting following a five-month breakup—and in the wake of the loss of his idol, Ozzy Osbourne—the British rocker explained that he wanted to protect the relationship from media pressure and allow it to grow away from the public eye.

He also emphasized the importance of personal space in a healthy relationship, sharing that distance can make reunions even sweeter. “I’ve learned from past experiences that giving each other room to breathe keeps the love alive,” he said.
