On July 5, 2012, episode of ‘Duets,’ superstar coaches Kelly Clarkson and John Legend teamed up for a blockbuster duet on the standard ‘You Don’t Know Me.’ The twosome sang the classic, much loved tune while seated, likely due to the fact that Clarkson has a hairline fracture in her foot and can’t stand easily. While she may be hobbling, it had absolutely no affect on that beautiful voice of hers.

Clarkson and Legend, who both performed with their amateur partners on this episode, meaning they pulled double duty, delivered a beautiful and sexy rendition of the song. It was as though they were meant to sing together every day and every night. Clarkson looked faboo in a floor-sweeping cobalt dress, while Legend was a sharp-dressed man in a suit. Throughout the show’s debut season, Clarkson has outshone all of her duet partners, while Legend has been hypercritical of may of the contestants. This particular duet of a classic demonstrated why each of these two different but amazing singers have gotten to the point they are in their careers.

Clarkson and Legend turned in a performance that looked like they had teamed up for an awards show. We think that ‘Duets’ should spawn an album of songs featuring the superstar coaches on the show
