That was certainly the case at Jamie Colvin and Megan Cooper’s wedding in Lincolnshire. Instead of giving traditional speeches, they chose to sing their thanks to their guests. Jamie played the piano while Megan sang a 15-minute set that no one at the wedding will ever forget.

But that wasn’t all. Jamie and Megan personalized the lyrics to thank their best man, bridesmaids, family, and friends for their love and support. This performance was reminiscent of Tom Fletcher from McFly’s famous musical wedding speech.

Even though Jamie and Megan aren’t professional musicians—Jamie learned piano as a child, and Megan participated in school plays—they are known for creating musical displays for friends. They had previously written and performed personalized songs for birthdays and special occasions, so when it came to their wedding, they wanted to do something even more unique.

They started working on the custom lyrics about four months before the wedding, despite the busy schedule of wedding planning. After their big day, they shared a video of the performance as a keepsake for their guests and to share with those who couldn’t attend.
