Music producer Tom Zutaut recently shared his theory that Guns N’ Roses may be approaching the end of their touring career. This was reported by Appetite For Distortion.
Zutaut’s comments focused on the band’s future touring plans. He suggested that fans should see them perform while they still can.
“Now, I don’t think they [Guns N’ Roses] will call it the last show because somebody will offer an ungodly amount of money for them to play another show at some big event, and I’ll bet you they’ll do it,” Zutaut said. “But will they get out on another tour and play a bunch of shows? No, I don’t believe they will. I think that those days are over.”
The producer also drew comparisons to other veteran rock performers. He emphasized the quality of established artists.
“So that’s why I’m saying get out there and see it. Same with David Lee Roth,” he continued. “And I mean, you know, even David Lee Roth at 50% is better than a lot of the new guys at 100%. I mean, I hate to say that, but it’s true.”
Zutaut’s predictions appear to contradict the band’s current activities and announced plans for the immediate future.
Guns N’ Roses has an active 2026 World Tour currently underway, contrary to speculation about retirement. Rev Entertainment confirmed this development. The extensive tour includes 31 dates spanning spring and summer 2026. It covers Mexico, Brazil, Europe, the United States, and Canada.
Rock 107 SEMO verified that the tour kicked off in Mexico on March 28, 2026. It continues through September 19, 2026, in Georgia. The band has announced special guests for select dates, including The Black Crowes, Ice Cube, Public Enemy, and Pierce The Veil.
The band’s commitment to touring extends beyond just fulfilling existing obligations. Allegiant Stadium revealed that Guns N’ Roses will perform at the venue on August 22, 2026, with The Black Crowes as special guests. This indicates continued investment in major stadium performances.
The band has demonstrated ongoing creative activity alongside their touring schedule. They recently released new singles “Nothin’” and “Atlas” in 2026. This suggests that the group remains actively engaged in both recording and performing, rather than winding down their career as Zutaut suggested.
Fans have responded with mixed reactions to Zutaut’s predictions. One fan noted that the theory contradicts recent statements from band members Slash and Duff. Another expressed skepticism about a permanent end to touring, suggesting the band may simply take extended breaks between tours.
