Bruce Springsteen is not slowing down anytime soon. Even after decades of touring, recording, and shaping rock history, the legendary songwriter recently revealed he is holding onto five completely finished albums. These projects are sitting right in his vault, waiting to follow his upcoming box set Tracks II: The Lost Albums, which is set to arrive on June 27.

Opening the Archive
The new Tracks II box set covers a massive creative period from 1983 to 2018. It is packed with fully realized albums that were simply never released to the public. Springsteen recorded all of these tracks in his own home studio. For years, he kept the music incredibly close to his chest, sharing the songs only with a small circle of trusted friends. Now, he is finally ready to let the rest of the world hear exactly what he has been working on behind closed doors.
This is not the first time he has opened up his private stash. Back in 1998, he dropped the original Tracks, a massive four disc collection of 66 unreleased songs. But the biggest surprise here is that even with Tracks II on the way, his vault is far from empty.
Tracks III and A Long Term Vision
In a recent conversation with The New York Times, Springsteen confirmed that another collection, Tracks III, is already totally finished. He noted that there was still plenty of great music left over. The new set will feature five full albums of material. That revelation proves just how deep his creative reserves truly are, and it points to a very long term plan for sharing his life’s work.
You might think selling his entire back catalogue to Sony for a reported $550 million would mean stepping away, but he remains deeply involved. He has expressed real satisfaction with the Sony partnership. He appreciates that the label consults him on how his music is used, even when they do not legally have to ask. It is very clear he is still the one steering his own legacy.

Still Working, Still on the Road
More importantly, the man is still creating. Springsteen insists he is at his absolute best when he has work to do. He shared that both he and the E Street Band have plenty of drive left, noting the band is in great shape to carry on. The exact same spirit that built Born to Run is clearly still burning bright today.
While we wait for these hidden albums to see the light of day, he is definitely not sitting idle. He is currently crossing Europe on a major tour, hitting cities like Frankfurt, San Sebastian, Gelsenkirchen, and Milan. Night after night, his live shows prove his unmatched stamina and his profound connection with the crowd.
This year also brings another huge moment for fans. The highly anticipated biopic Deliver Me From Nowhere is hitting theaters later this year. The film will explore the intense personal journey behind the making of his landmark 1982 record Nebraska.
With five secret albums waiting in the wings, a massive new box set, a Hollywood film, and a packed world tour, his creative output is as strong as ever. Bruce Springsteen is still writing his story and showing everyone exactly how it is done.
