Steven Tyler Rocks Lewiston With Stunning Live Performance of “Sweet Emotion”

Still Rockin’!

Sweet emotion in Philadelphia as Aerosmith starts its farewell tour, and fans dream on | Fox 59

We love everything Steven Tyler sings – Janis Joplin covers, his original country songs but of course, we always tend to gravitate towards Aerosmith classics. And with this video, it’s easy to see why. Age has nothing on him, it didn’t even slow him down one bit. At 70 years old, he can still nail songs he sang when he was at his prime.

Inasmuch as we want to use the cliche “he still has it,” it doesn’t seem to do justice to this legend. He rocks harder than anyone at his age.

“For all the arguments I’ve had with Joe Perry, or with the band, around a song, look what’s come out. Nothing but great: “Toys in the Attic” to “Dream On” to “Sweet Emotion” to “Walk This Way.” – Steven Tyler

More than having one of the most easily recognizable voices in rock, he’s a darn good frontman too. And he knows how to put on a great show. If you don’t believe, just watch this clip.

It was the moment Bocelli raised his hand, nodded gently to Susan, and together they sang “Panis Angelicus.” Her voice, trembling with reverence, floated beside his tenor like prayer. On the screen behind them, old footage of Pavarotti laughing and singing played silently. Many in the crowd wept openly. Bocelli paused midway, visibly overcome, then whispered, “This is for you, Maestro.” At the final note, Susan placed a single white rose at the foot of the stage. And for a moment, it felt like Pavarotti never left.
