Rappers are known for having beef with their competition, but in the case of one of the NFL’s biggest stars he recently caught a stray from the hip hop community because of his new relationship.

Cardi B is one of the biggest names in rap, and her former flame and fellow rapper Offset isn’t pleased with her choice of boyfriend after she recently went public with New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

That prompted Offset to drop a diss track targeting Diggs after the NFL wideout and Cardi B were spotted court side recently at a New York Knicks playoff game at Madison Square Garden.

Offset’s track contains sharp lyrics, notably mentioning a “route runner chasing charts” and a “sideline star thinking he’s prime time.” Many interpret these lines as direct criticisms of Stefon Diggs’ NFL career and his perceived betrayal.

Although Offset does not mention Diggs by name, the context and Offset’s history of addressing personal issues in his music strongly suggest that the Patriots star is the intended target.

The track’s aggressive tone contrasts with Offset’s earlier Instagram comment, “I’m happy for her!!,” posted in April 2025 in response to Cardi B and Diggs dancing at Coachella, indicating a shift in his stance.

It’s pretty clear that the Migos member won’t be supporting the Patriots any time soon ahead of the new NFL season, but based on recent interactions it looks like Diggs and Cardi B are quite happy together.

Cardi B and Offset’s Turbulent History

Cardi B and Offset, married in 2017, share three children: Kulture (6), Wave (3), and an eight-month-old daughter born in September 2024.

Their relationship has experienced numerous breakups and reconciliations, leading to Cardi filing for divorce in August 2024, marking her second attempt after 2020.

The split, described by Cardi’s representative as “a long time coming,” was accompanied by allegations of Offset’s infidelity and Cardi’s flirtatious texts with Diggs during her pregnancy, as claimed by Offset and podcaster DJ Akademiks. These claims remain unconfirmed, with Cardi dismissing them as “crazy” on Instagram Live in October 2024.

But in a quiet Los Angeles living room, just days before death, Randy Meisner and Don Henley sat side by side — no arena, no spotlight, just a guitar resting across Randy’s lap and a phone camera shaking in someone’s trembling hands. Henley spoke first: “It’s been a long road, Randy.” And then, almost like instinct, the chords of Take It to the Limit rose. When the final line faded, there was no applause — only silence, then laughter, and finally Henley reaching across to hold Randy’s hand..
