A rep for Cardi B tells EW the rapper plans to work with Scarlet, after “Drag Race” queens noted that her album title referenced Scarlet’s “All Stars 6” quote.

UPDATE: Following Entertainment Weekly‘s exclusive report that Cardi B was in talks to work with RuPaul’s Drag Race queen Scarlet Envy following her Am I the Drama? title announcement, the drag superstar introduced the rapper on stage Friday night at the LadyLand Festival in New York City.

In an Instagram video shared by fellow RuGirl Kandy Muse, Scarlet takes the stage to ask, “Is it her? Is she the drama?” before welcoming Cardi to the stage. “She is an icon, she’s a legend, and she’s a hometown hero, bitch! Give it up for the one, the only, the drama, Cardi motherf—ing B!”

EARLIER: RuPaul’s Drag Race queen Scarlet Envy’s iconic “Am I the drama?” quote might’ve reached its ultimate peak as fans and fellow RuGirls reacted to rapper Cardi B naming her second studio album… well… Am I the Drama? Now, a representative for the performer tells Entertainment Weekly the Grammy-winning superstar is quite fond of the Drag Race alum.

When reached for comment after online chatter noted that Cardi’s album title might be a reference to Scarlet’s heavily meme’d All Stars 6 quote, Ashley Kalmanowitz of Atlantic Music Group explains to EW that the connection hasn’t gone unnoticed on their end.

“While Cardi’s album inspiration comes from her real life drama, she loves Scarlet Envy and they’re in talks to work together soon,” Kalmanowitz notes via email.

EW has reached out to Scarlet for additional comment.

After Cardi announced her album title Monday, Scarlet’s fellow All Stars 6 competitor Jan shared the cover art and commented, “Scarlet Envy i am shaking.”

Drag Race Season 15 finalist Luxx Noir London also posted the artwork to her X profile, joking, “Scarlet Envy should sue.”

Scarlet, who initially competed on season 11 of RuPaul’s Drag Race in 2019, first uttered her legendary question in a pre-season promotional interview for All Stars 6 in 2021, with the quote instantly garnering fan adoration and sustaining through the years as a recurring meme.

After All Stars 6, Scarlet returned to compete on a third season, UK vs. the World season 2, in early 2024.

“I’ll always respect this choice. It’s a Rumocracy. This is the way it goes. I’m not here to blame anyone other than myself for shortcomings that might’ve put me here,” Scarlet previously told EW of the judges’ shocking decision to place her in the bottom after a seemingly well-received performance on All Stars 6. “But, I’m a Pisces. I already said I’m emotional and sensitive and messy, so I’m also going to be true to myself here. It’s hard. I can respect someone’s choice and still have my emotions about it.”

Cardi B’s upcoming album marks her first solo LP since 2018’s Grammy-winning Invasion of Privacy, which produced major singles like “Bodak Yellow” and “I Like It.”

Since then, Cardi has released an additional string of No. 1 hits, including “Up” and the Megan Thee Stallion collaboration “WAP.”

Am I the Drama? is out Sept. 19.

“A father sang for the son he lost – and Robert Plant did something no one saw coming…” That night in Austin, Robert Plant was mid-performance when he noticed a middle-aged man holding a sign: “My son died before he could hear Led Zeppelin live.” Plant paused. Silent for a moment. Then he walked to the edge of the stage and asked, “Would you like to sing with me… for your son?” The crowd held its breath. The man, trembling, stepped up. “Stairway to Heaven” began — not flawless, but soaked in emotion. Plant sang each line beside him, the father joining in through tears. At the climax, Robert stepped back, letting the father’s voice echo across the stage. The audience wept. Plant embraced the man and whispered, “Your son heard it tonight.” It was no longer just a concert — it was a moment of grace.
