Before he arrived in London, Jimi Hendrix was already turning heads in New York with his incredible guitar playing. His manager, Chas Chandler, brought him to the UK, knowing Hendrix had the talent to shake things up.
The big moment came when Chandler introduced Hendrix to Clapton, setting the stage for one of the most famous jam sessions ever. Hendrix was invited to play during Cream’s show at the London Polytechnic.
