To Sir With Love

What a breathtaking performance! I can’t even imagine being Dave Grohl and being given the tremendous honor of paying tribute to my hero, Paul McCartney, and to do such an outstanding job at it!

Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters was joined by the talented Norah Jones in paying tribute to Sir Paul McCartney at the Kennedy Center Honors with Paul’s legendary ballad, ‘Maybe I’m Amazed’. The crowd was stunned – we knew Norah had talent, but who knew Dave could sing?!

Dave Grohl is one of Paul McCartney’s biggest fans, and the starstruck Beatles fan had this to say about his hero:

“Without Paul McCartney and The Beatles, there would be no Foo Fighters, no Nirvana, there would be nothing. Paul, you’re my hero.”

There’s nothing better than seeing someone who followed his dreams paying tribute to the person they looked up to the most – and do it well!

+ Maybe I’m Amazed lyrics +

Baby, I’m amazed at the way you love me all the time,
And maybe I’m afraid of the way I love you.

Maybe I’m amazed at the way you pulled me out of time,
You hung me on the line.
Maybe I’m amazed at the way I really need you.

Baby, I’m a man, maybe I’m a lonely man
Who’s in the middle of something
That he doesn’t really understand.

Baby, I’m a man,
And maybe you’re the only woman who could ever help me.
Baby, won’t you help me to understand?
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh.

Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
Oh, oh, oh,
Oh, oh, oh, oh,
Oh.

Baby, I’m a man, maybe I’m a lonely man
Who’s in the middle of something
That he doesn’t really understand.

Baby, I’m a man,
And maybe you’re the only woman who could ever help me.
Baby, won’t you help me to understand?
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh.

Maybe I’m amazed at the way you’re with me all the time,
Maybe I’m afraid of the way I leave you.

Maybe I’m amazed at the way you help me sing my song,
Right me when I’m wrong-
Maybe I’m amazed at the way I really need you.
